Plan Your 2017 Ski Holiday!
Snow Sure got the insider’s scoop on the 2017 ski holidays the travel agents are raving about. Read on to find out what’s new and where you have just GOT to visit in the coming winter season.
Iglu Ski can’t wait for Alberg, Austria in 2017!
“The most exciting news we’ve heard so far about the next ski season, is the new lift link in the Arlberg ski area in Austria. The Arlberg ski area is home to some of the best ski resorts in Austria including St Anton, Lech and St Christoph and receives a high snowfall every winter.
The new Flexenbahn gondola will link Stuben to Zürs creating the largest lift-linked ski area in Austria and making it much faster to access all the ski villages in this fantastic region.
We are very excited to head back to the Arlberg once the new gondola is finished to discover the resorts in this area that haven’t been easy to get to before such as Lech, Warth and Schröcken. These resorts are renowned for their legendary powder and off piste, so easier access will mean we can take advantage of the best snow conditions!
St Anton is Iglu Ski’s best-selling ski resort in Austria and we expect that this new link will make ski holidays here even more desirable, with easy access to the 305km of pistes.
The Alps had another brilliant end to the ski season, with many resorts keeping their lifts running until the end of April. After a superb week in Les Arcs with extraordinary spring skiing conditions in mid-April, I will definitely be planning another end of season trip to the snow.
Prices are normally much cheaper at this time of year, days are longer so you can enjoy the sunshine after skiing and the slopes are much quieter, making your ski experience much more enjoyable. Plus as a snowboarder, I love spring slush!
France is always reliable for excellent end of season snow, I would recommend Tignes, Val Thorens, Les Arcs or Val d’Isere for the best ski conditions in April, plus they all have plenty of restaurants and bars with sun terraces to enjoy lunch and beers in the afternoon sunshine!”

Crystal Ski Holidays are raving about 2017 in Sun Peaks, Canada
“New to Crystal Ski for 2017 is Sun Peaks in Canada. With loads of activities besides skiing and snowboarding, such as bungee trampolining and husky or horse drawn sleigh rides, it’s a great addition to Crystal Ski Holidays.
This ski-in, ski-out resort offers quiet slopes, is the second largest resort in Canada and we’re sure it’s going to offer fine powder and loads of bluebird days. In Sun Peaks, as in all the other Canadian resorts, you’ll receive top-class service and hospitality wherever you go.
The average price for 1 week is £800-£1000 per person. Most of the accommodation is slope side, which is more than convenient for families. With around 40 shops, restaurants and bars, it’s not the largest village you can find, but it definitely does the job. You can eat at a range of different places to suit all budgets, tastes and occasions — from the family friendly, Mantles Restaurant with its mid-range prices to Oya Restaurant and their sushi dishes. And just in case, most Sun Peaks' accommodation options have their own kitchenettes, so you can always whip up some meals of your own.
Great for families, beginners or experts: Sun Peaks is an excellent choice for every kind of skier and snowboarder. With such a vast ski area there is something for everyone!
Plus, we’re offering 2 for 1 Sun Peaks Lift Passes for a limited period, so snap them up quick.”
