Molly Cook

Molly Cook - ski instructor at The Snow Centre

What skill do you teach? Alpine Skiing & Telemark Skiing

What qualification do you have? IASI Level 2 Alpine Ski Instructor, IASI Telemark Level 1. Working towards my Level 3 Alpine qualification!

When was your first Snowsports experience and where? I started skiing when I was 4 years old back when the real snow slope, The Snow Centre was just a dry ski slope. I then attended weekly lessons once the real snow slope was built.

What’s the best thing about being an instructor at The Snow Centre? The best thing about being an instructor at The Snow Centre is seeing people come regularly for lessons and watching them improve. I find it really rewarding, partly because I remember how I felt as I improved on my own ski lessons.

One single tip you would give to anyone taking part in Snowsports… Enjoy yourself, it's all about having fun!

Best Snowsports memory? Every year at Christmas I go skiing in Austria with my family, so I get to go skiing on Christmas day. We always see people dressed in Christmas themed attire such as Santa, the elves and reindeer. It's pretty funny to come home and when people ask how my Christmas was, I'm able say that I’ve skied with Santa!

The word from the slopes

  • “Easy access from M1. Plenty of parking, simple registration, and quick service to collect skis, boots etc. Both lifts serving the main slopes worked faultlessly and although the session was quite busy I felt the slopes were quite free of other skiers & classes. I particularly liked the snow conditions and at the end enjoyed the amazing cafè overlooking the slopes. Reasonably priced menu. All told an excellent start to our skiing this year.”

  • “Very friendly staff. Good, clean facilities and very good prices on lessons & lift passes.”

  • “Very helpful staff would recommend to anyone trying to learn snow sports very down to earth people.”

  • “Great place, nothing negative to add. You can rent all of the equipment down to socks. Any kind of lessons available. Parking, gear store, cafe on site”

  • “Great lessons with experienced instructors who put kids and parents at their ease. The lessons were full as it was half term, but each child still didn’t have to wait too long between turns on the slope. It was easy to get and return equipment and the food in the restaurant was great and came promptly.”
