What skill do you teach? Skiing
What qualification do you have? ISIA Alpine Level 3 & BASI Adaptive Level 1
When was your first Snowsports experience and where? I went on a boys trip to Westendorf in Austria in 1993 and spent the whole week in ski school.
What’s the best thing about being an instructor at The Snow Centre? Having the opportunity to inspire and teach people quite often at the start of their snowsports journey. We also have a great team and everyone works together to deliver the best customer experience.
One single tip you would give to anyone taking part in Snowsports… to have fun and continue to learn so you can see the improvements.
Funniest Snowsports memory? My skis went missing from outside a restaurant in Val D’Isere 2 years ago when I was on an instructors training course. As a precautionary measure, another instructor and myself had swapped one ski (different brands, size and colour!) and placed them a good few yards apart to help avoid them being stolen. The restaurant owner called me that evening to tell me there was a lone set of rental skis outside! They managed to track down the owner of the rental skis, so thankfully we got our skis back when the guy who had been on a boozy lunch, feeling the worst for wear, realised that the bindings on the skis he had picked up weren’t big enough to clip his boots into!
