About Oscar…
Hi, I’m Oscar and I have loved skiing, as much as possible, since I was 7years old. When I’m not skiing, I enjoy photography, science (the explosive stuff), bike rides through the Great Park where I live and days at the skate park.

How Oscar got into Snowsports…

I first tried skiing as one of my activities at Centre Parcs in Holland when I was seven. On our return home we looked for our nearest snow dome and found The Snow Centre. I joined TSC Snow Stars, attending every Saturday and Sunday morning until I progressed on to the Academy and then started Freestyle training with Simon and Nick, alongside race training with HSRC. I started ski cross  at TSC with Ed Drake in 2016 and was selected to GBX at National level. I have competed in all three disciplines all over the UK and in the Alps. In 2017 I took part in The Brits Freestyle competition for the first time, winning a bronze and three silver medals, which was amazing, AND bumped into my favourite skier Woodsy!

Oscar’s time at The Snow Centre…
I ski at The Snow Centre every week, between once and three times a week. I love Freestyle nights and am usually the first one on and last one off! The Parks at The Snow Centre are always good with a mix of rails, boxes, and kickers, and a great atmosphere. I’ve taken part in lots of the competitions that run at TSC throughout the year and enjoy meeting up with the friends I have made there through skiing.

Favourite trick…
Well, as everyone who knows me will tell you, I like a 360 over the big kicker!!! I’m landing nice 540’s and 7’s and back surface swaps. I’m now working on more technical tricks like a K-fed.

Top tip…
Have fun and enjoy your skiing. Take on board advice from the coaches and try new things.
