Overview

On Monday 14th April we began the demolition of the old site and the birth of the Snow Centre began. The old slope didn't go to waste and we've been busy decommissioning the old dry slope, sending some of the old matting as far as South Africa!

Once the old slope is no more we'll get to work shifting earth and completely re-profile the ‘hill’ onto which the Snow Centre will be built.

By October 2008 the main structure will be in place and internal ground base construction, snow technology systems, full building services and internal fitting then commences.

Finally, come February 2009 it starts to snow in Hemel!

The entire project will be complete by early April which includes all systems fully tested and all staff training completed. We then open our Alpine doors to you at the end of April 2009, have your skis and boards at the ready.
