Clothing

The temperature on the slope will range from -2°c to -6°c so we recommend thick warm socks and layered clothing. You will need gloves for all slope activities and we don’t recommend jeans, as they usually end up pretty waterlogged, but any waterproof clothing would be ideal.

Don't forget to bring along your warm waterproof clothing, gloves and socks. You can now hire a jacket and/or trousers, just £7 for 1 item or £12 for both - our changing cubicles are now back open. If you have your own equipment please bring this along too. Gloves and socks are available to purchase online or at our reception desk on the day. Gloves are £12 and Socks are £6. Helmet liners are also available to purchase for £5.

Helmets are required for all our activities, and hire is included with your session. Or you can buy one from Reception for £25.

We’ve partnered with HEAD to provide you with all the Snowsports equipment you’ll need on the slope. Your Lesson or Lift Pass includes the hire of your skis, snowboard, boots, poles and helmet. So, no need to worry about extra costs. Equipment will be sanitised after every use too.

Helmets

If you’re participating in a high adventure sport, it makes sense to wear a helmet. We want to promote safety awareness amongst Snowsports enthusiasts, so helmet hire is included within the price of your session.

It is compulsory for all those taking part in an on-snow activity to wear a helmet. You can bring your own or borrow one of ours, these are available in various sizes and can be collected from the Equipment Collection Desk.

The word from the slopes

  • “Easy access from M1. Plenty of parking, simple registration, and quick service to collect skis, boots etc. Both lifts serving the main slopes worked faultlessly and although the session was quite busy I felt the slopes were quite free of other skiers & classes. I particularly liked the snow conditions and at the end enjoyed the amazing cafè overlooking the slopes. Reasonably priced menu. All told an excellent start to our skiing this year.”

  • “Very friendly staff. Good, clean facilities and very good prices on lessons & lift passes.”

  • “Very helpful staff would recommend to anyone trying to learn snow sports very down to earth people.”

  • “Great place, nothing negative to add. You can rent all of the equipment down to socks. Any kind of lessons available. Parking, gear store, cafe on site”

  • “Great lessons with experienced instructors who put kids and parents at their ease. The lessons were full as it was half term, but each child still didn’t have to wait too long between turns on the slope. It was easy to get and return equipment and the food in the restaurant was great and came promptly.”
