What to wear

The temperature is between -2°C and -6°C on the slope, so you’re best to dress for these conditions!

We recommend wearing warm waterproof jacket and trousers, waterproof gloves and thick socks, jeans are not recommended.Gloves are are compulsory on the slope. You can now hire a jacket and/or trousers, just £7 for 1 item or £12 for both - our changing cubicles are now back open. If you have your own equipment please bring this along too. Gloves (£10.00) and socks (£5) can be purchased on-line for collection at the time of your snow activity, or at the Check-In desk on arrival.

As there’s no wind on the slope, you won’t need thermals, just a long sleeved t-shirt or jumper under your jacket will normally be adequate. We don’t recommend you wear trousers under our waterproof trousers. Please arrived dressed for the slopes, our Changing cubicles are now open.

There’s no need for sunglasses or goggles - the slope’s artificially lit!

All our activities include the equipment you need: skis, snowboards, boots, ski poles, sledges and helmets. Helmets are compulsory for anyone taking part in an on-snow activity. You can bring your own or borrow one of ours, these are available in various sizes and can be collected from the Rental Area.

We offer top of the range ski and snowboard equipment from leading Snowsports brand HEAD - available to you at no extra cost. Several Gold medallists in the last winter Olympics used HEAD ski equipment, plus our partnership with HEAD means we’re giving you access to some of the newest equipment on the market.

The word from the slopes

  • “Easy access from M1. Plenty of parking, simple registration, and quick service to collect skis, boots etc. Both lifts serving the main slopes worked faultlessly and although the session was quite busy I felt the slopes were quite free of other skiers & classes. I particularly liked the snow conditions and at the end enjoyed the amazing cafè overlooking the slopes. Reasonably priced menu. All told an excellent start to our skiing this year.”

  • “Very friendly staff. Good, clean facilities and very good prices on lessons & lift passes.”

  • “Very helpful staff would recommend to anyone trying to learn snow sports very down to earth people.”

  • “Great place, nothing negative to add. You can rent all of the equipment down to socks. Any kind of lessons available. Parking, gear store, cafe on site”

  • “Great lessons with experienced instructors who put kids and parents at their ease. The lessons were full as it was half term, but each child still didn’t have to wait too long between turns on the slope. It was easy to get and return equipment and the food in the restaurant was great and came promptly.”
