In order to be considered for this position (part time), candidates will need to meet the following requirements:
- Possess a ‘Can Do’ attitude, be positive, enthusiastic and determined
- Willing to undergo any necessary health and police checks
- Excellent organisational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Ability to work as part of a team & independently.
- Pleasant, professional, outgoing and articulate manner
- Flexible attitude to working requirements to meet the needs of The Snowcentre
- Good communication skills
- Good attention to detail
- Cleaning experience preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.
- Good working knowledge of Health and Safety requirements.
- Carry out cleaning in designated areas, in accordance with the schedule, to ensure that all areas are clean and hygienic.
- A wide range of cleaning duties will include mopping, dusting, vacuuming, emptying bins and cleaning washrooms.
- Working on varied cleaning tasks in a friendly team.
- Hours of work – Monday to Friday 6am till 9am & Saturday/ Sunday 5am till 8am.
- Working days to be confirmed.

Dwayne McConnell – Snowsports Instructor.

Jack Stickings – Operations Team Member
“I started working for The Snow Centre in the Rental department part-time during the winter season. This allowed me do my gardening job during the summer months. While I was working in Slope Patrol & Rental I was also trained in the Sales department. After experiencing working in different departments I wanted to learn different aspects of the business. This lead to me being trained in the technical department driving the piste basher for the grooming of the slope.”
“From December last year i was offered a full time role and due to being multi skilled I work in various departments. With my love of snowsports I decided to qualify as a ski instructor which I successfully completed in March 2013, this has made me truly multi skilled.”
“As I work in different departments across the business a typical day could consist of kitting out a school group to teaching a skiing lesson to grooming the snow. Every day is different which I love. Courtney Hart – Food & Beverage Team Member
“The first contact I had with The Snow Centre was through my work experience placement. I was in the 6th form at school and was very interested in sport particularly football and athletics and needed to have a work experience within the sports industry. I spent a week at The Snow Centre working in all departments; however I particularly enjoyed the Food & Beverage department.”
“After completing the week I was very fortunate to be offered a part-time weekend/evening job that I would do whilst still studying a school. I now work in the Food & Beverage department full time which is something I love as I really like interacting with our guests. The team I work with are great and we get on very well and socialise together outside of working hours.”

Lea Gillespie – Corporate Manager

On opening to the public I worked as a Booking Agent within the sales team but soon progressed into snowsports to look after the administration of that department.
