The Mountain Challenge
Team building will never be the same! The Snow Centre Hemel Hempstead proudly presents The Mountain Challenge. The race is on to reach the summit of the newest mountain discovered in thousands of years!
This is a challenge of problem solving, team working, creativity, lateral thinking and leadership. Teams will have to devise the best route to reach the summit in the quickest time to raise their flag first. Skills will be tested as you make vital preparations under careful supervision of your very own local mountain guide.
Expeditions like this don’t just happen and they need funding. Before you can attempt your climb, your team must complete a series of challenges to raise the necessary funds to buy your equipment. Then it’s time to design and build the equipment that will take you to the summit. Be the first to raise the flag on the summit. Then enjoy the view and bask in the glory of your success.
Cost per person:
Minimum 10 peole, maximum 40, £135 + VAT
World Cup Slalom Challenge
Your World Cup Challenge starts with a training session with a highly qualified instructor who will help to improve your technique. Then split into teams, race through our timed slalom course to decide who wins!
Cost per person:
£40 + VAT, 90 minute activity including 30 minute training.
Suitable for those who can already ski to a recreational standard i.e. control speed and direction, linked turns, stop and to use the button lift unassisted.
Guided Learning
The ultimate in team work, learn to ski as part of a team. We’ll assign you one of our highly qualified instructors to guide you but ultimately you will have to work out as a team how to use your equipment to reach the bottom safely.
Cost per person:
£40 + VAT, 90 minute activity including feedback and team discussion.
Minimum 10 people. Suitable for beginners.
Ski or Snowboard lessons
The Snow Centre offers ski or snowboard lessons for all abilities so whether you are a complete beginner, just wanting a refresher or a seasoned expert we can offer a lesson for you. If you can already ski or snowboard and meet our recreational standard (control speed and direction, perform linked turns, stop and to use the button lift unassisted) then you can get a Recreational Lift Pass and ski or snowboard at your own pace.
Cost per person:
one hour £20 + VAT
90 minutes £26 + VAT
Two hours £32 + VAT
Three hours £38 + VAT
Minimum 10, Maximum 12 per instructor.
Additional charges will apply if your party has a range of different abilities and requires more instructors. Suitable for all abilities from beginner to expert.
